30 Seconds To Mars drummer Shannon Leto has landed himself in a little bit of hot water. Last night (June 17) the "City Of Angels" musician was arrested in Los Angeles for suspicion of driving under the influence.
According to TMZ, Leto was pulled over in Hollwood at 7 p.m. Monday night after his car stalled on Fairfax Blvd. Though further details have yet to emerge, it seems as though the cops felt that Leto was displaying "signs of impairment" and he was subsequently arrested under suspicion of a DUI.
Though nobody has any business driving while impaired, it seems as though Leto had no real business driving in the first place. He already had an outstanding traffic warrant for a previous instance of driving without a license.
As of this morning, Leto was still sitting pretty in prison. His bond had been set at $5000 for the DUI charge and $2500 for his unlicensed driving.
In addition to being the drummer for 30STM, Leto is perhaps best known for being the older brother to singer/Oscar winning actor Jared Leto. Alongside his brother and other bandmate Tomo Milicevic, Leto is due in Turin, Italy, tomorrow (June 18) for a screening of the 30 Seconds To Mars film Artifact.
The band is then due to tour Europe through June and July before kicking off the Carnivore Tour with Linkin Park and AFI on August 8 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
No word yet on whether or not Leto will be able to make these engagements after his arrest.
