Janet Jackson Unbreakable Tour Ticket Holders Will Get Refunds for Postponed Dates

Fans were up in arms when singer Janet Jackson postponed her Unbreakable Tour for the second time. They were even more upset when the word spread that they would not be refunded their monies back for ticket purchases. Now, tensions have calmed after the announcement was made that refunds will now be issued in full.

Live Nation, the promoting company for Jackson's Ubreakable Tour, received many inquiries from patrons who purchased tickets to the upcoming scheduled dates of the tour once Jackson announced via video that she would be postponing the remaining dates to begin "planning a family" with her husband.

The video received many well wishes for the 49-year-old but also raised questions as to whether or not previously purchased tickets would be refunded. According to US Weekly - the answer is now, yes. Live Nation released a statement to the site informing concerned concert goers that the tour has been pushed back to 2017 and those persons who bought tickets will have them honored during the rescheduled dates and refunds are also available "at the point of purchase."

TMZ previously reported that tickets to the pre-scheduled shows would not be refunded until they received official word from Jackson's camp that she would be postponing the tour. According to the site, Ticketmaster sent emails to those who purchased tickets informing them that they are treating Jackson's announcement as "as postponed and rescheduled" and not a canceled tour. Therefore, the large ticketing site was not open to refunding full or partial ticket purchases.

The show launched in August according to Jackson's released video statement, and since then, the "No Sleep" singer has already postponed her shows once before due to a scheduled surgery and doctors orders to rest up. This time around, it is still under the direction of her doctor that the singer rest up, so she can increase her chances of having a family.

Good luck Janet!
