Monica (Brown) has her hands full these days with promoting her Code Red album, being a mother and now dealing with the alleged rumor that her husband, Shannon Brown, has been cheating on her. Adding fuel to the fire are the singer's fans and followers who awaited a response from Brown addressing the situation and she finally gave them what they wanted, telling one fan to "get lost."
It was a Bossip report that released screenshots of an alleged direct message conversation between the "Just Right For Me" singer's husband and an unidentified woman. The messages indicated the two had been making plans to see each other, which was followed by an Instagram post that completely put Shannon on blast writing, "Shannon Brown, Monica's husband flew me out to go meet him for 2 day full of adult xrated fun," according to Bossip.
Since then, Monica has put on her best unbothered face for the world by sharing a video of she and her sons playing and having fun, while remaining completely unphased with the cheating accusations. In an Instagram post shared by The Shade Room, Monica addressed the fans who expressed concerned about her marital issues.
"In life tests are sure to come & because of my faith & belief that God is in control I don't run to talk about my problems because I'm too busy thanking him for the good he's doing in my life," the singer shared in her video.
It wasn't long before an Instagram follower addressed the singer's message by referring to her husband as a cheater, and alluding to the fact that Monica was hiding behind her faith.
"Tha devil ain't do nothing, your husband is a cheater," the follower wrote according to The Boombox. "I hate [people] using tha devil & God for human actions. Monica plz u just made me mad," the Instagram user concluded.
That didn't stop Monica from remaining centered; cool, calm and collected when she responded to the fan. "You're too simple to get it love, don't get mad get lost," wrote Monica in response.
It was back in 2015 where Monica made it very plain how she feels about her husband and the "groupies" who try to pursue him during a North Carolina performance, according to Centric. While performing a cover to Kelly Price's "As We Lay," the singer decided to send a very direct message to the women who try to have "stolen moments" with her man.
"If you steal some moments with what belongs to me, it's gon' be a code red situation," stated Monica during her 2015 North Carolina performance according to Centric. "Let me explain why. I am still, the very one, that will kick down the door and smack the b*tch."
