Ex-Mushroomhead Vocalist Waylon Reavis Rips Band, Says Slipknot Is Better

Waylon Reavis, the former vocalist for metal band Mushroomhead, recently said that Slipknot is the better group.

He also said that the reason why Mushroomhead didn't became as popular as the Iowa-based band was because of how its members treat the people around them.

During a recent interview with Rock Rage Radio, Reavis, who was Mushroomhead's frontman from 2004 to 2015, opened up about the feud between the group and Slipknot. Metal Injection pointed out that the feud, which was started by fans because of the groups' similarities, ended in 2010 after the death of Slipknot bassist Paul Gray.

But, it seems the debate as to which group is better will emerge once again after Reavis sided with Corey Taylor and his bandmates.

"Slipknot is better," he told Rock Rage Radio. "Flat out. Corey Taylor, you're a badass f*cking singer. Slipknot, you're a great f*cking performance."

"I'll say it personally because I wasn't in Mushroomhead when all that sh*t went down," Reavis continued. "Guys, Slipknot is better."

Reavis left Mushroomhead in October last year following an internal conflict within the group. According to Nu Metal Messiah, Reavis was reportedly released from the band after it was confirmed that he was still communicating with ex-member and keyboardist Tom "Schmotz" Schmitz.

Almost a year after his departure from the band, Reavis slammed his former bandmates by basically saying that they're bad people. He also said that he has no intention sharing the stage with them again.

"You know why [Mushroomhead] didn't make it in this industry?" Reavis said. "Becayse they f*cked over people all over the industry. They talk sh*t. They don't care about you. They want your money. They're not good people."

"I hope they die slowly," he added. "I hope their fan base just goes down, and down, and down. I will never sing a song with them ever again. I wish I had never met them."
