Chris Brown is speaking out about his recent arrest and is claiming that it was a set up. Brown is currently out on bail after being arrested last week (Aug. 30) when model Baylee Curran claimed that he threatened her with a gun.
Prior to his arrest, Brown was in an 11-hour stand-off with police and then charged with assault with a deadly weapon. On August 31, the R&B singer was released for a bail sum of $250,000.
Brown recorded a video message and sent it to Good Morning America where he stated, “I cannot wait until the truth comes to light about this incident. My character is being defaced, and who I am as a person and my integrity. I’m glad that all my real supporters know me and they know the truth.”
Brown's lawyer is also insisting that he's innocent.
As for Curran, she is claiming that Brown angrily threatened her with the gun after she commented on his friend’s diamond necklace.
Since the allegations, information has surfaced on the model that paints her in a less than flattering light. Curran was allegedly stripped of her title as the Miss California Regional winner although the pageant didn’t release the exact reason why.
E! Online sources reported that racial slurs, catty behavior with other contestants and allowing a photographer to take sensual photos of her were behind the loss of her crown. She is also wanted in connection with a reported purse-snatching that occurred at the Plaza Hotel back in 2013.
