Monica Dismisses #SoGoneChallenge Feud With Brandy on 'The Real' Premiere

Monica and Brandy can't seem to shake speculations that the two of them are feuding. Especially now with the recent #SoGoneChallenge that mostly everyone accepted except Brandy- who declined with a little bit of shade. Now fans want to hear what Monica has to say and she delivered during the premiere episode of the daytime talk show The Real.

The single, "So Gone" released off of Monica's (Brown) 2003 album After The Storm, has resurfaced in the form of a trending social media video challenge called the #SoGoneChallenge.

It all began with a group of friends who recorded themselves freestyling to the Missy Elliott produced track, and challenging everyone, "to do a better version."

People like Chance The RapperKevin Hartand possibly your next door neighbor, were eager to take on the challenge but, others like Brandy (Norwood) had no time for it according to Love B Scott, after answering a fan's request to do the challenge with, "Chile, Bye!"

Was it shade? According to Brown, "some of it has been blown out of proportion to a degree," but it still doesn't phase her one bit.

"I'll tell you the real, I'm not bothered at all," Brown laughingly replied when asked how she felt about the situation from The Real co-host Loni Love.

The 35-year-old singer joined the daytime panel hosts Love; Adrienne Bailon, Tamera Mowry-Housley and Jeannie Mai, for their season 3 premiere party episode, holding nothing back when speaking of how she's evolved into a better woman.

These days Brown is living as an example to her children and showing them how to conduct themselves and not get pulled into negativity.

"Honestly, the old me and the new me are two different things," explained Brown. "And this journey of self progression, and self love and empowerment that I'm on, I can't go backwards. I think that that was just a test from God for me."

The mother of three explained how she can't instruct her children to always take the high road if that's not something she can do herself.

Brown and Norwood both began their careers at a young age and have garnered much success. They also worked together on songs like, "The Boy Is Mine" and "It All Belongs To Me."

In speaking about Norwood and her talents, Brown took the high road and had nothing but positive things to say.

"I've always thought that she was one of the most legendary people and has one of the most amazing voices, and her runs and riffs..." explained Brown.

With this interview Brown may have sparked another challenge - the #AlwaysTakeTheHighRoad challenge!
