Max B is set to be released from prison early. Following the news, Wiz Khalifa and others in the hip-hop industry tweeted support for the rapper. He was sentenced to 75 years in prison back in 2009 for murder conspiracy and murder charges but due to a new plea agreement he will allegedly be released within the next few years.

Hip-hop radio announcer Charlemagne tha God shared a press release to Instagram to confirm the rumors, and further describing the plea for his only charge of aggravated manslaughter. The original charges against Max B were first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, and first-degree kidnapping are set to be dropped. This will allow the rapper to return home within 2 to 6 years from now. Initially, he was not eligible to be paroled until 2042.

French Montana also shared his support for Max B via Instagram, releasing a text message conversation that showed the same information as the press release. He also posted a video message where he said, “Two years from 75 years? If you don’t believe, you better believe.”

Lastly, Khalifa posted on Twitter, “Max B is coming home. Sentence got shortened. Looks like the Gang will be working wit the Wave.”
