Beyoncé Donates $7 Million To Build Housing For Homeless In Houston Following Solange Lucky Magazine Interview & Jay Z Cheating Rumors

Just because Beyoncé is busy living a life of luxury in New York City doesn't mean she isn't still a Houston girl at heart. Reports claim the 32-year-old Mrs. Carter has donated $7 million to build housing for the homeless in her home city of Houston, Texas.

The money will go to the ongoing construction of low-income housing for less-fortunate families in the Houston area.

Reverend Rudy Rasmus was recently interviewed by KHOU and addressed the donation, calling Bey an "incredible human being." He went to say she, "has an incredible heart and has been extremely helpful in our mission and our ministry here."

"She has a global platform and is doing some amazing work and I'm glad she's a friend of mine," he continued.

Beyonce is a supporter of Rasmus' congregation at St. John's United Methodist Church.

The project will be a 43-unit apartment complex aptly named Knowles-Temenos Place, offering "affordable housing opportunities for extremely-low to low-income persons as well as homeless individuals," as their site states.

Despite all of the recent press Beyoncé and husband Jay Z are receiving as of late – from cheating scandals to Solange Knowles' Lucky Magazine interview – the former Destiny's Child singer remains both positive and generous.

Aside from the Knowles-Temenos Place donation, the "XO" singer also donated $500,000 to Chime for Change, an organization that focuses on "using innovative approaches to raise funds and awareness for projects promoting Education, Health and Justice for girls and women."
