Dolly the Dog, an older white lurcher, was rescued after she was found in the aftermath of England's Glastonbury Festival. She was discovered in one of the 5000 tents at Worthy Farm when the clean-up team was working to get the 1200 acre festival site clean. Little Dolly was cowering in a small, hot tent with a little bit of food but no water.
She was taken to Happy Landings, a rescue shelter near the festival venue. They discovered that she had a serious ear infection and started treatment. While they wait to see if her owners are going to come forward and claim her, she is staying at the home of one of the Happy Landings staff members because the shelter is full.
When Dolly Parton heard about her canine namesake, she tweeted, "Heard about the abandoned dog at @GlastoFest? If nobody claims her, I'll take her home to America! Ain't she cute :)"
If no one steps forward, Dolly the dog will have an amazing home with the country music legend.
