Ex-One Direction member Harry Styles is releasing his debut solo single, and has been teasing his new music for the past few weeks.
Entitled “Sign Of The Times,” Styles posted to his Instagram account that it will be released next week. He is also slated to make a live debut on Saturday Night Live on April 15, which was announced on the TV show's Twitter account on March 28th.
NME reports that Styles has been penning tracks with Johnny McDaid of Snow Patrol, who has also collaborated with Ed Sheeran in the past. Columbia Records signed Styles for all of his solo material, and last month CEO Rob Stringer said, “We’re close and we’re very excited. We have a record we’re incredibly excited about and it’s not far away from being ready. We obviously want everything to be beautifully done, because we think he’s here to stay. Harry has stepped up with the vision of someone who’s authentic.”
Styles also reportedly recorded the album with Jeff Bhaskar, who has worked with Kanye West, Bruno Mars and the Rolling Stones in the past. It has been reported that the album could be released as soon as late April or early May. The lead single is scheduled to be released on April 7th.
