WATCH: Animated Version Of Tyga Deals With Assassins In New 'Boss Up' Music Video

Tyga becomes a hero of an anime in the music video of his new single, Boss Up.

The almost four-minute clip combines shots from real life with animation. It begins with the Californian rapper driving a red car in a city that resembles Tokyo. He heads to a penthouse restaurant to meet his girlfriend.

A man, the antagonist of the video, spots him and sends his army to interrupt their date. Luckily, animated Tyga is dating a total "boss" who takes matters into her own hands, whips up a firearm, and kills the masked ninjas who dare interrupt their date.

The video was created Pixel Pirate Studios, the same studio responsible for the music video of "Zombie Walk," a song by Desiigner.

"Boss Up" is a new single from his new album, Bitch I'm The Shit Vol. 2.

Six Years Later

The new album released earlier this year was a sequel to Bitch I'm The Shit, a mixtape that was released in 2011. It took him six years to come up with a sequel, but Tyga thinks that this is the right time to revisit it.

"[T]he first version was something that really started my career," he told Billboard. "I felt like I wanted to do a volume two as a gift to my fans, but at the same time, I wanted them to know that I'm back on my s--t."

The past few years has been quite chaotic for the rapper. In 2014, he broke up with Blac Chyna, his girlfriend of three years and the mother of his son, King.

Then he was embroiled in a controversy when rumors spread that he was dating reality television star, Kylie Jenner when she was 16. The couple went public with their romance in 2015, a few days after she turned 18. They broke up last year.

However, like a trooper, he was able to get back on his feet. He signed with Kanye West and Pusha T's label, G.O.O.D. Music. Bitch I'm The Shit 2 is his first album under the new record label.

Tyga added that, while the title was the same, he does not want to give his fans just a rehash of his old material.

"I'm still gonna give you some new waves, too. It's like a new sound," he promised. "It doesn't sound like a whole Mustard project. It doesn't sound like it's just all West Coast sounding [music.] It's melodic. It's everywhere. It's just a whole new wave."

Bitch I'm The Shit 2 was released on July 21.
