Migos' new album Culture II will be released on Jan. 26. The album, which is a follow up to Culture will be available via Quality Control/Motown/Capitol.
Migos' New Album, Songs
Culture was released in January 2017, and Migos first teased about the follow-up, Culture II, last summer. While waiting for the album's release, Migos first teamed up with Cardi B and Nicki Minaj for their track, "MotorSport." The music video for the single was released shortly after. The group closed 2017 with their hit song, "Stir Fry."
Album Cover Art
On Tuesday, Migos also dropped the cover art for Culture II, which featured two doves and an arc filled with white roses over a red background. Migos member, Quavo also tweeted a video of Martin Luther King Jr., alongside the Culture II National Anthem.
Migos is an American hip-hop trio from Lawrenceville, Georgia, that was formed in 2009. The group is composed of three rappers named Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff.
In 2013, the group released their first commercial single, "Versace," taken from the Y.R.N. mixtape. The group is also known for their other songs, namely "Fight Night," "Look At My Dab," and "Bad and Boujee."
Young Ring Nation was released in 2015 through Quality Control Music and 300 Entertainment. Culture, their second album, debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. The group is managed by Coach K, the former manager of Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy.
Migos Members' Arrest
Despite the trio's success, they were also previously involved in a major controversy involving drugs. In 2015, Migos was scheduled to perform at Georgia Southern University's spring concert at 9 p.m. However, they performed an hour and a half later. Instead of singing for 45 minutes, the group only sung for 30 minutes.
It was later on revealed that police officials who were stationed at the school premises detected a strong scent of marijuana inside the group's van. Migos was arrested on gun and drug charges thereafter. Quavo and Offset were arrested for felony possession of cocaine, Oxycontin, and codeine. They were also charged with carrying a loaded gun in a school zone.
Both rappers were charged with four counts each. Quavo was charged with three felonies, including a misdemeanor marijuana charge. Offset was given two felonies and two misdemeanors.
