T-Pain: ‘It Just Seems Like Quincy Jones Is Pissed Off At The Whole World’

T-Pain just fired back at Quincy Jones after the music producer said that he was unimpressed with the rapper's "P.Y.T." cover.

T-Pain recorded the track with Robin Thicke several years ago. The "Bartender" singer posted a series of tweets on his social media account and said that he was asked by his managers to record the song even though he did not want to do so. T-Pain did not like how his remake of "P.Y.T." turned out either. He said that he could never be like Michael Jackson.

T-Pain said that he was disappointed to hear the song in the studio, but the track sounded even worse after it was released. T-Pain no longer works with his previous managers who forced him to record the song. Towards the end of his lengthy posts, T-Pain said that it seems Jones is "pissed off at the whole world."

The "Booty Wurk" rapper is also upset over the fact that Jones did not give him any direction while he was still working at the studio. He said that he kept taking his headphones off just to get clear directions from Jones. Regardless of the producer's recent comments, T-Pain said that he still has so much respect for him.

Quincy Jones Throws Shade At T-Pain

Jones recently opened up about his career mistakes during an interview. He specifically mentioned his 2010 album, Soul Bossa Nostra, which featured various artists as a tribute to his past works. He said that he was not in favor of doing the album.

"But the rappers wanted to record something as a tribute to me, where they'd do versions of songs that I'd done over my career," said Jones.

Jones also talked about "P.Y.T." and said that he told T-Pain, Thicke, and the producers that the remake ought to be better than the original version of Jackson. However, this did not happen.

Did Michael Jackson Steal Some Of His Songs?

The producer also slammed Jackson for stealing other people's songs. He said that the late singer stole Donna Summer's "State of Independence." Jackson also allegedly stole his hit song "Billie Jean." Jones was not impressed with Jackson's decision to go under the knife either.

"I used to kill him about the plastic surgery, man. He'd always justify it and say it was because of some disease he had," said Jones.
