Hayley Kiyoko is letting go and moving on in "Let It Be," the third track to be released from her forthcoming debut album Expectations out on March 30.
The new upbeat and synthy track dropped on streaming sites, including YouTube and Spotify, on Thursday, March 15.
New Album
The 26-year-old announced Expectations back in January and, since then, she has been giving her fans a sneak-peek through her social media pages.
"I want to inspire everyone to fearlessly show their power and strength and to celebrate the beauty of the female body in its truest form," Kiyoko said on a tweet.
Expectations, from Atlantic Records, features 13 songs including the aforementioned moving-on track "Let It Be." The album also features the song "What I Need," Kiyoko's collaboration with Kehlani.
"I think she's going to be spearheading a movement for a lot of young artists coming after her," the "CRZY" singer said about Kiyoko. "Age plays a big part in it — I don't know if there are a lot of young people who are being so openly straightforward. It's not an agenda, it's just her being herself. She's going to open a door."
The former Disney artist is not the only artist around who is open and comfortable with her sexuality, but Kiyoko's new album aims to normalize same-sex relationship. The young pop singer, who earned the monicker lesbian Jesus from her Instagram fanbase, believes that mainstream music needs more queer artists.
"I think [queer artists are] what's giving people encouragement to really be more comfortable with themselves," she told Billboard. "That's how life is. If you see two girls falling in love and normalizing that, then [people] can go, 'I can fall in love, too. I can be that person. I can look like that. I can get a girl that looks like that.' If they see that, then they can believe it. It's just how we are."

The pop singer is also set to perform in Coachella in April.
