The Voice battle rounds saw some of the contestants cover songs by Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, and Kings of Leon. Unfortunately, not everyone made it to the next round.
Brynn Cartelli and Dyland Hartigan did an impressive rendition of Taylor Swift's popular track "... Ready For It?" Cartelli showed off her raspy tone while singing her lines, and Hartigan impressed everyone with his falsetto.
Coach Kelly Clarkson picked Cartelli over Hartigan, but Blake Shelton decided to steal him.
Christiana Danielle, Shana Halligan's Battle Round
Christiana Danielle and Shana Halligan covered "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon. They are both members of Alicia Keys' team.
The two female singers stripped off the song and sang almost a capella. It was Danielle who made it to the next round of the competition, while Halligan was sent home after their performance.
D.R. King, Jackie Foster Sing 'Sign Of The Times'
Clarkson's two other team members, D.R. King and Jackie Foster, also took the stage on Tuesday night. They sang a unique rendition of Harry Styles' "Sign of the Times."
After their impressive performance, Keys declared that it was her favorite battle of the night.
The American Idol winner, who just joined The Voice as a judge this season, picked King. Luckily for Foster, she was stolen by Adam Levine.
The Voice will return with new episodes starting on Monday, March 26 at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
Kelly Clarkson's Interview
Other than the recent battle rounds on The Voice, Clarkson also made headlines after she recounted her experience on American Idol. During a recent interview, she said that she auditioned for the show after her house in Los Angeles burned down.
"I had lived in my car for three days, and I literally had made that outfit I was wearing. I think the only reason I was probably confident is I had nothing to lose. The artists that you love and adored, if you hear their stories, they probably did not have easy upbringings. A lot of those people had to work for everything they got, and that was definitely me," said Clarkson.
When asked what her plans are for the next 5 to 10 years, Clarkson said that it all depends on what her family would need.
"Really, our decisions are based upon our family. It's not that my career is on the back burner, it's just that it's, you know, on the side burner. I want to make sure I'm a present mom. I have abandonment issues, so I don't want to pass those on," explained the singer.
