5 Seconds of Summer drops the music video for "Youngblood, " featuring scenes that were taken from the group's recent tour. The song is part of the group's upcoming LP, which will be released on June 22.
The over three-minute black and white music video opens with the members of 5 Seconds of Summer walking to the stage before their performance. They greet their fans and shake their hands before singing to them.
The music video for "Youngblood" was directed by Conor Butler and Ruth Paveley. The track follows the previously released song "Want You Back," which is also featured in Youngblood.
Other songs included in Youngblood are "Lie to Me," "Valentine," "Talk Fast," "Moving Along," "If Walls Could Talk," "Better Man," "More," "Why Won't You Love Me," "Woke Up In Japan," "Empty Wallets," "Ghost of You," "Monster Among Men," "Meet You There," and "Babylon."
The band's forthcoming compilation serves as a follow-up to the 2015 album Sounds Good Feels Good. The songs featured on the album are "Money," "She's Kinda Hot," "Hey Everybody!" "Permanent Vacation," "Jet Black Heart," "Catch Fire," "Waste the Night," "Vapor," "Castaway," "Fly Away," "Invisible," "Airplanes," "San Francisco," and "Outer Space / Carry On."
5 Seconds Of Summer Members Talks About 2-Year Hiatus
In February, the members of 5 Seconds of Summer talked about the nerves and excitement surrounding the release of their third studio album. The band went on a two-year hiatus and said that they are ready to surprise their fans all over again.
"I think we were so nervous, and I think we still are really nervous about the rest of the record. We've lived with the songs for two years, but I think that's what's making us so driven to make sure it's the best that it can be," said Michael Clifford, the band's guitarist.
5SOS North American Tour
Other than the group's new song and upcoming album, 5 Seconds of Summer will also embark on a 26-date tour in North America in support of Youngblood. The series of shows will kick off on Aug. 27 in Toronto and will wrap up on Oct. 12 in Los Angeles.
Some of the other show dates and locations are set in Uncasville, Connecticut on Aug. 29, Boston, Massachusetts on Aug. 30, Allentown, Pennsylvania on Sept. 1, Virginia Beach, Virginia on Sept. 2, Vienna, Virginia on Sept. 5 ,Allegan, Michigan on Sept. 7, Chicago, Illinois on Sept. 8, Minneapolis, Minnesota on Sept. 9, and more.
