WATCH: Kelly Clarkson Nails Indy 500 National Anthem Performance

Kelly Clarkson schools fellow singers on how to perform the national anthem at her appearance during the 2018 Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, May 27.

The The Voice coach and American Idol winner sang the "Star Spangled Banner" to kick off the top level car racing event that took place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Wearing a black tracksuit with white stripes and white stars, the singer took the stage and performed in front of a crowd of thousands of attendees.

This, of course, was not the first time that the 36-year-old performed the "Star Spangled Banner" at a major event and in front of hundreds of people. As One Country noted, Clarkson also sang the national anthem before the Nashville Predators game during the Western Conference Finals of the Stanley Cup last year.

Twitter Reacts To Kelly Clarkson's Performance Of The National Anthem

Fans, however, were completely blown away by her performance on Sunday. Several Twitter users declared that the three-time Grammy winner should be tasked to perform the national anthem at every major event.

National Anthem Flubs

The "Star Spangled Banner" has a reputation for being a difficult song that even more seasoned singers struggle to perform. Earlier this year, Fergie made headlines after her rendition of the national anthem became notorious for overly embellishing the track. She later had to issue an apology for the embarrassing performance.

Roseann Barr, Christina Aguilera, Carl Lewis, Cyndi Lauper, and others also made serious mistakes when they performed the track.

Kelly Clarkson Rules 2018 BBMAs

However, Clarkson has proven that she can sing practically anything. At the 2018 Billboard Music Awards which she hosted, the mother of two kicked off the show by performing a medley of recent hits from Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" to Kendrick Lamar's "HUMBLE."

The singer is set to perform at the 2018 CMT Music Awards on June 6 in Nashville.
