YoungBoy Never Broke Again Album Expected to Land No. 1

YoungBoy Never Broke Again dropped his latest album "38 Baby 2" on April 24, and in just four days from the release, it is strongly projected to land No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart the end of this week.

Based on industry forecast, his newest mixtape is expected to gain 70,000 - 75,000 equivalent album sales in the U.S. on its debut week. In case he makes it to the top, it will be the second album from the rapper to hit No. 1.

"38 Baby 2" consists of 17 tracks with an approximate running time of 45 minutes. Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, the Louisana rapper, featured his mother, Sherhonda Gaulden, on the opening track of "Bout My Business." DaBaby is his guest rapper in "Thug of Spades." Hear the playlist below -

NBA Youngboy, as he is also called, dropped his latest mixtape with a controversial statement in his social media. On his April 21 tweet, the prolific rapper wrote that after "38 Baby 2", "I'll never release a song/album again until I'm in better situation #PROMISE." It seems he would be taking a vacation in the meantime.

The 20-year-old rapper has not just been busy with his projects; his name had been appearing on a string of controversies this month. Last week, it was reported he tweeted the one-liner "Suicide¿," which alarmed his fans, but it has been deleted since then. NBA Youngboy's girlfriend, Iyanna Mayweather allegedly stabbed Lapattra Lashai Jacobs, mother of one of the rapper's children in his Houston home on April 3. The 19-year-old Yaya, daughter of retired boxer Floyd Mayweather, has been charged with second degree aggravated assault and is possibly facing 20-year imprisonment.

His beef with imprisoned rapper, former friend, Kodak Black, escalated along with the incident. The two have been at odds since 2017, even if both had collaborative works on "Chosen One" and "Water." Kodak Black is currently behind bars due to federal weapons charges.

"38 Baby 2" is the anticipated album after Youngboy's breakout "38 Baby" that was out in 2016. Back in February 2020, he released "Still Flexin, Still Steppin," which saw its debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again has been non-stop in creating and releasing his projects. He dropped eight popular independent mixtapes between 2015 to 2017, which gained the young rapper a cult of followers. In 2017, his breakthrough came with "Untouchable." "AI Youngboy" mixtape pulled up his rapper career to a higher level. He came up with his debut studio album "Until Death Call My Name" in 2018, which broke into the platinum level status. Hard-hitting songs from the only LP he has as of now are "Outside Today" and "Diamond Teeth Samurai." The album remained on the Billboard Hot 200 chart for 97 weeks, and its peak landed on spot No. 7 on May 12, 2018.
