As fans, we often wonder how much of our favorite artists' lives are like us - their hobbies, interests, and how many kids they have. Most of them have just one or two children and stop there. However, some musicians prefer to have more children. Like with awards and recognitions, it seems the adage "the more, the merrier" applies to having kids. Here are some iconic musicians who fathered many children:
Willie Nelson - 7 Children
The outlaw country musician who fathered many children - seven kids across three of his relationships - is still active and performing at 87! With his first marriage with Martha Matthews from 1952 to 1962 gave Willie Nelson three children: Lana (1953), Susie (1956), and Willie "Billie" Hugh (1958 - 1991)
With his third wife, Connie Koepke, he had two daughters Paula Carlene (1959) and Amy Lee (1973). Lastly, Willie's fourth wife, Annie D'Angelo, bore him two sons Lucas Autry (1988) and Jacob Micah (1990).
Bob Marley - 11 Children
Preaching about love and peace, fans are not surprised that Bob Marley is a musician who fathered many children. Tuff Gong himself has a total of 11 children from seven partners throughout his life. First was with Alpharita Constantia "Rita" Anderson: Cedelia (1967), David "Ziggy" (1968), and Stephen (1972.) Additionally, Bob also adopted Sharon (1964), Rita's child from a previous marriage. Bob also took in Stephanie (1974), Rita's child from an affair.
Bob then had Robbie (1972) with Pat Williams, Rohan (1972) with Janet Hunt, and Karen (1973) with Janet Bowen. In 1975, he fathered Julian with Lucy Pounder and Ky-Mani with Anita Belnavis the following year. Damian "Jr. Gong" was born in 1978. Her mother was Cindy Breakspeare, a jazz musician and former Miss World. While The Rolling Stones songwriter and musician who fathered many children, Mick Jagger has only been married, and divorced, once. With former partner actress Marcia Hunt, Mick fathered Karis Hunt (1970). It was followed by his relationship with Nicaraguan human rights advocate and former actress Bianca Jagger, which blessed the couple with Jade Sheena Jezebel (1971) With American model Jerry Hall, Mick had two daughters and two sons: Elizabeth "Lizzie" Scarlett (1984), James Leroy Augustin (1985), Georgia May Ayeesha (1992), and Gabriel Luke Beauregard (1997). The rockstar then had a relationship with Brazilian model Luciana Gimenez Morad, giving him a son - Lucas Maurice (1999). Mick Jagger's youngest son came when the singer-songwriter was already 73. His son, Deveraux Octavian Basil (2016), was with American ballet dancer Melanie Hamrick. Brother Ray was a music legend, best known as a pioneer of soul music back in the 1950s. He is probably the most popular jazz musician who fathered many children- twelve children from 10 different women. He had a daughter with Louise Flowers, Evelyn (1949), followed by three sons from his second wife, Della Bea Robinson: Ray Jr. (1955), David (1958), and Robert (1960). He had an affair with singer Margie Hendricks, resulting in a son, Charles Wayne (1959). His relationship with Mae Mosley Lyles resulted in a daughter, Renee (1961), while Sandra Jean Bettes gave "The Genius" another daughter, Shiela (1963-2017). Ray Charles also had paramours from other parts of the world and had children with them. With the Parisian Arlette Kotchounian, Ray had Vincent (1977) and Robyn (1978) with Gloria Moffet.
