Lil Flip slashed his initial asking around $2.5 million just to perform at VERZUZ.
From $3,000,000 to $1,000,000, now down to $500,000, Lil Flip definitely marked down his asking price to perform on a VERZUZ battle with long-time rival T.I.
Just around this time last year, Lil Flip expressed interest in appearing on Verzuz, and he recently brought up the subject of his desire to perform on the show again.
Flip explored the notion of going toe-to-toe with T.I. on the popular music platform back in January 2021, but he stated at the time that it would take a substantial sum of money to convince him to sign on the dotted line.
Flip and T.I. were formerly "beefing", and now that things have calmed down, fans are eager to see them together again.
The "Sunshine" hitmaker, however, had a change of heart after joining the crowd on last month's VERZUZ battle between Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Three 6 Mafia. Now, Flip is willing to take in $500,000 for the sake of having fun.
In the same interview with VladTV, LilFlip explained why his $500,000 was "reasonable", saying as an entertainer, he'll have to bring some guests and props to put on a show for everyone.
When asked if he would prefer to battle T.I in VERZUZ, Lil Flip says, "it don't matter," as he is not looking for any opponents. On the other hand, he is open with it since seeing them battling it out on stage is what fans want to see.
The Beef with T.I.
Stemming from 2005, Lil Flip and T.I. have since been in fiasco. Houston's Flip and Atlanta's Tip were claimed to have gotten into a brawl on the streets of Houston in 2005, and they reportedly remained at odds for a number of years after the incident.
In The Donnie Houston Podcast in 2021, questions about his VERZUZ duel with T.I. was first visited, which he opened the possibilities to. He, however, ensured that he was going to "take a real nice bag" out of the battle since "somebody makin' some money off of that" battle of him and T.I.
Flip then subtly hinted that he would take on T.I., or even anyone, on a VERZUZ battle as he claims himself to be "Flip Mayweather", saying he'll take anyone you put in front of him.
The two rappers made amends sometime in 2015 after a face-to-face meeting and hashing their almost a decade feud.
