Aside from streams, plays, and concert tickets, one thing that fans are fond of doing is buying limited-edition merchandise for their favorite artists, bands, and musicians.

Well, some avid fans go to the extent of buying even the most ridiculous set of items that their favorite idols sell just to show their appreciation and love for them.

But, fans surely draw the line on showing appreciation for their favorite artists when these concert tickets or even merchandise costs a tad higher without any further explanation why.

This is the case for American Rock band Tool, selling their "ultra-deluxe" vinyl version of their 2019 album "Fear Inoculum" at a ridiculous price.

For $810 or £600, Tool fans can get five autographed discs of the 180-gram vinyl of "Fear Inocolum."

But, only fans who bought the Toolarmy VIP tickets can purchase, which also costs $300 to $500 depending on the package.

Is it worth the buy?

Tool took to Instagram to announce the news. Posting the set, the band captioned, "There's some late-breaking news from the band."

Despite fans' enthusiasm at buying the "ultra-deluxe" vinyl, many have expressed dissatisfaction with the outrageous price tag.

"Any chance of a non-silly variant to, you know, just be able to listen to on a record player?" one fan asked on the comments.

"$810 HA. I love Tool, but that's insane. Plus the bootleg I got last year sounds great anyways. Win win." another user commented.

While avid fans enjoy the signed mechandise, some fans just want the vinyl version of the record.

"Get me a realistic priced Anemia and we will talk. Make these things available for a reasonable price for just basic packaging for us audiophiles who actually listen to their records," a fan wrote.

"Sad most of us won't get this. Forget the exclusivity and give us commoners a chance to get a copy. Sad thing is, the people who do get a copy will probably just resale it at a very ridiculous price."

As to why it was priced that expensive considering the amount fans will have to shell out, the band has yet to comment on the issue.

Tool released "Fear Inoculum" last August 2019 and debuted No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the Biggest Week For a Rock Album in Over 1 Year.

The album's lead single, "7empest," was nominated for two Grammys for Grammy Award for Best Rock Song and Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance, with the latter winning the award.
