For the past 14 years, the Swedish supergroup Swedish House Mafia has dominated airwaves and dancefloors with their dynamic and energetic tunes.

However, despite the years they have been active in the music industry, they have yet to release their first studio album.

The Swedish House Mafia had only released extended plays, singles, live albums, and compilation albums for so long, until now - especially with their recent announcement.

The debut album

The supergroup, composed of Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Axwell, just announced the release date of their upcoming project.

The Swedish House Mafia's Album Release Date for "Paradise Again" will be released on April 15, 2022.

In conjunction with the release of their much-anticipated studio album, the group has kickstarted the waiting game with a music video for their Sting collab "Redlight."

According to a SPIN feature, SHM claimed that the next album would have at least 14 tracks and be artistically and conceptually similar to Dante's Inferno, but with the order reversed.

One of the members, Sebastian Ingrosso, felt strongly about their new album just being heard and published.

"When you listen to this album, listen from start to finish. I don't care if it has 50 streams. I don't give a f-k. We just feel like we still have something to say, and that's why we're saying it," he explained.

Redlight

The record's debut is accompanied by the release of an amusing music video for the band's song "Redlight," which features Sting interweaving the most recognizable lyrics from his band The Police's 1970s smash "Roxanne" into the clip.

As red lights flicker around them, the frightening footage depicts what appears to be possessed and zombified partygoers dancing in the streets.

The release of Paradise Again's lead song, "It Gets Better," in July 2021 signaled the beginning of the new SHM album period.

The track was followed by their collaboration with The Weeknd on "Moth to a Flame."

But before making a comeback last year, the supergroup disbanded in 2012 at the height of its popularity.

Swedish House Mafia has set the bar for dance music during its heyday in the 2010s and being the first EDM group to book the main stage at Coachella Music and Arts Festival.
