Ahead of the British Summer Time Hyde Park Festival, starting from June 24 until July 10 this year, this year's annual London festival is rumored to include a classic rock band in its line-up.

With already a massive set from Adele, Pearl Jam, Sir Elton John, Duran Duran, Eagles, and more, some fans think a rock band might be staging its comeback to the stage secretly until its cover was covered blown.

The Rolling Stones comeback?

While it has not been confirmed, an apparent clerical error on the part of the website was seen by eagle-eyed fans, who were looking for volunteers to assist at the festival.

It indicated that the iconic English rock band The Rolling Stones would be performing as the headliners.

The Daily Mail saw the now-deleted post on the website calling for volunteers to work on June 25, a vacant day where no headliner has been booked yet.

The posting was said to be hiring event volunteers to staff the "BST: 2022 Rolling Stones 1."

However, the sudden reveal activated the rumor mill, putting fans of the rock band buzzing and scrambling to confirm the details if they will actually be the first time seeing the iconic band perform at the BST since 2013.

Metro UK reported that the concert would be the Stones' first appearance in the United Kingdom since the loss of founding member Charlie Watts, who passed away last year at the age of 80.

Moreover, it would represent the 60th anniversary of the formation of the band, which was founded by Jagger, Watts, Richards, and previous members Brian Jones and Bill Wyman in 1958.

BST Hyde Park other acts

Even without the possibility of a Rolling Stones performance, this year's BST is jam-packed with big-name bands that will be taking the stage.

Sir Elton John will perform at the Hyde Park event on June 24 as part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which will conclude with a performance at the Royal Albert Hall.

The Eagles will perform on Sunday, which means that, if they are confirmed, the Rolling Stones will perform in between the two enormous concerts on Saturday and Sunday.

Pearl Jam takes the stage on July 8 to 9, while Duran Duran is closing the festival on the 10th. Adele is also making a comeback in the UK live music festival scene since 2017 with two Hyde Park Gigs on July 1 and 2.
