Good news for Machine Gun Kelly's fans! The rapper-turned-rocker is set to embark on a tour, and he revealed an exciting lineup of surprise guests; are your favorite singers here?
According to People Magazine, the "Emo Girl" singer will begin his North American and European tour in Austin, Texas, this June. His final show will be in the Netherlands in October.
Other cities included in the tour are Detroit, Charlotte, Raleigh, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Fargo, Oakland, St. Paul, Montreal, Houston, Jacksonville, New York City, Philadelphia, and more.
Among the exciting line of special music acts are Avril Lavigne, WILLOW, Trippie Redd, PVRIS, 44phantom, blackbear, and his good pal Travis Barker.
Lil Wayne appears to be missing from the lineup despite having a collaboration for the song "Ay!" but MGK has not confirmed whether the rapper will join him on tour or not.
The singer released a music video for the song earlier this month, and fans were surprised to see him go back to his hip-hop roots as the track featured a rap verse.
Machine Gun Kelly's Mainstream Sellout Album Art Controversy
MGK's tour will feature songs from his upcoming album "Mainstream Sellout," which became controversial last week after Rolling Stone compared the cover art to another band.
According to the outlet, the official album art has striking similarities with The Japanese Breakfast's "Jubilee."
Despite performing in different genres, the outlet pointed out that there are similarities.TJP's cover features singer and author Michelle Zauner in the middle, surrounded by hanging persimmons.
On the other hand, Kelly's album shows pink-colored tomatoes which appeared to be thrown at him.
Michelle Zauner, Machine Gun Kelly Interacts About the Controversy
After the comparison made rounds on the internet, the band's frontwoman took the opportunity to make fun of the matter by quote-retweeting the outlet, writing "2022's feud of the year."
MGK replied to the tweet, saying he should thank the writer for introducing him to The Japanese Breakfast's album because he liked it.
Zauner further explained her side to Pitchfork, saying she doesn't think the singer's album is the same as "Jubilee."
"I think it's very funny that Rolling Stone put up an article about it just because there's a circular fruit in the foreground," she said.
She also noted that the two album covers are very different as the fruit surrounding her are peacefully hanging, while MGK's are being thrown at him.
