On her self-titled talk show on Tuesday, Kelly Clarkson was humiliated when Anne Hathaway grabbed the spotlight during a head-to-head competition called ""Sing That Name That Tune."

Kelly Clarkson invited Anne Hathaway to promote her new Apple TV program "WeCrashed."

Instead of the standard interview wherein Hathaway would talk about the show she's promoting, the "Pop Idol" winner and "Les Miserables" star enjoyed some little competition. It all ended however, with Clarkson on face-planting on the floor.

Kelly Clarkson Loses To Anne Hathaway

Kelly teased the "intense characters" of Anne's upcoming Apple program WeCrashed, so she wanted to make it "intense" in the studio by challenging her to a singing contest. Everyone expects Clarkson to have a one up over the actress, since singing must be her forte, right?

ANW presenter Matt Iseman joined Anne and Kelly in the studio to officiate a contest in which the two stars had to properly work out the opening lines of a popular song played by the studio band.

When the song had been correctly selected, the performer would stand in front of the crowd and sing it out in rhythm with the accompanying music.

First up came Billy Joel's Piano Man, which Hathaway got to sing, after Kelly gave her a few pointers. This gave her a point.

Anne quickly increased her advantage to 2-0 by singing Hanson's smash song MmmBop. By then, Clarkson was starting to realize things are not right.

Kelly shouted at her band, "Can you play a fucking frigging song I know?" as her frustration grew.

With that, the starting beats of Kelly's song "Since U Been Gone" began to play, and one can hear the the audience breathed out a collective sigh of relief. But, lo and behold, it was still Anne who was able to go up first and belt out the song.

As the Oscar winner proceeded to yell out the words, Kelly sank onto the platform and buried her face into the floor.

With her hands clasped over her head as she stood up, Kelly said, "Oh my God."

How did you know it from just that?" Kelly screamed as the audience applauded. Hathaway then jest that it's impossible for not anyone to love Clarkson's song, but the singer was not having it.

"What?! She knew it from, 'Boom, boom, boom, boom," Clarkson exclaimed.

"S**t!" Kelly yelled, "Shall I just quit?" the singer joked.

Matt and Anne exchanged a chuckle before revealing how much they like the song.

Kelly apologized profusely to her followers, saying, "This is embarrassing."
