Traci Braxton unexpectedly left the world after years of gracing it with her voice.
Although her cancer battle was not a secret to her family, Traci still broke everyone's hearts with her sudden passing on March 12. As her loved ones continue to mourn, her sister Toni left a powerful reminder to the public after her death.
Toni recently sat down for an interview on the "Tamron Hall Show" where she opened up about their family's status before and after the 50-year-old's passing. She also told everyone that Traci's death should be a reminder for everyone to enjoy every single moment with their families and friends and be happy.
The singer also told the viewers to be kind to one another.
While they had to lose her sister before realizing those things, Toni said she was feeling okay as she started looking at the brighter side of the loss.
"I'm okay today, so it's okay. It's not my best day but it's an okay day, you know. I'm happy that I'm here and I'm happy to get to talk about her and her birthday is coming up soon on the second and my sisters and I are going to celebrate and have a big Traci day thingy," she went on.
Traci Braxton's Last Moments Revisited
During the same interview, Toni took her time to recall the last moments they had with her sister. According to the "Un-Break My Heart" hitmaker, everything that Traci loved suddenly appeared when she had her last breath.
"I'm a rain girl, I love when it rains. My sister Traci, she loves when it snows and she died that morning when it was actually pouring down snow in Virginia. So my sister is now a snowflake," she said.
Toni also said that a hummingbird flew near her and called her "Traci?" since it is the late singer's favorite bird. After the hummingbird started going up and down in front of her, she reportedly felt better since it was as if her sister was trying to say hello to her.
The whole Braxton family was reportedly by Traci's side before her death and received their love for the last time.
Traci Braxton died at the age of 50 after a long battle with esophageal cancer. Her husband, Kevin Surratt, said that the singer endured the illness for a year. Before her death, she also sparked concerns when photos of her shocking weight loss emerged last year.
