To celebrate the festivities of Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee, numerous powerhouse musicians will join forces to entertain the monarch and its citizens on the 70th anniversary of her service to the nation.

The lineup for the concert has been announced, and it features some of the most iconic musicians and bands over the past decades.

According to BBC, Diana Ross, Queen + Adam Lambert, Duran Duran, and Sir Rod Stewart will grace the stage in front of Buckingham Palace.

Dubbed the "Platinum Party," other musicians who will perform live include Alicia Keys, Mabel, Hans Zimmer, Sam Ryder, Ella Eyre, Craig David, Jax Jones, Celeste, Andrea Bocelli, Elbow, Sigala, and Nile Rogers.

Sir Elton John is also included in the lineup, but his performance would be pre-recorded as he's currently touring across Europe.

Over 22,000 people are expected to watch the show live, and millions of fans can tune in on BBC One, iPlayer, and Radio 2 on June 4.

Out of all the expected concertgoers, 10,000 people have reportedly received tickets through a public ballot, while the rest were given to workers.

The event will mark Queen guitarist Brian May's return to the palace as he performed from the roof 20 years ago for Queen Elizabeth's 50th anniversary called the Golden Jubilee.

Adam Lambert will lead the band to open the show.

Since May is famously known for his rooftop stunt, the musician hinted that he might pop up in a surprising location again this year, saying, "There was a moment when I wondered, after Buckingham Palace roof where can you go? Well... you will see!"

Diana Ross will perform some of her classic hits to close the show. The singer said in a statement that she was delighted to receive the invitation to perform on a historic occasion.

"Her Majesty has and continues to be such an incredible inspiration to so many across the world," the "Ain't No Mountain High" songstress added.

Aside from the singers, there will also be personalities from television, film, and sports that will make an appearance at the event, including David Beckham, Stephen Fry, Sir David Attenborough, and Dame Julie Andrews.

The Platinum Party isn't the only music-related event during the four-day holiday as Ed Sheeran and Sir Cliff Richard will take the streets of London for the carnival pageant.
