Brandy vowed to "murk" Jack Harlow, and she certainly delivered her promise. It all started with Harlow not really knowing who she is, and what she achieved, so it's fair to say that Brandy and her fans got a little piqued.
This time, the singer reminds Harlow just who she is and what she can do.
The fun battle between Brandy, 43, and rapper Jack Harlow has escalated a bit. Will Harlow react?
As a further response to his remark about not realizing she was Ray J's sister, the GRAMMY-winning singer has just slayed an epic remix of Jack's viral track "First Class."
Brandy, born Brandy Rayana Norwood, informed Harlow, 24, that she is "world-famous," "one of the finest," and a "living legend" in a freestyle rap verse as Fergie's "Glamorous" rhythm (the source beat and lyrics of Jack's single) played in the background.
"Did I mention my resume is amazing?" Brandy said next.
She's not lying, though.
The singer has won one GRAMMY and been nominated for 12 others, and had one of the best-selling singles of the '90s with "The Boy Is Mine," which sold 2.6 million copies and topped the Billboard Hot 100 list for 13 weeks. She also played a black version of Cinderella alongside the late Whitney Houston in a Disney musical film, breaking a glass ceiling in the process.
"The game lead a breath of fresh air and I'm breathtaking (Uh)/Paintin' pictures, Cinderella scriptures," she went on, referencing the Disney film released back in 1997.
Brandy even joked about "jacking" Jack's beat: "But that don't mean jack in the streets/Jack of all trades, now I'm here jacking for beats," Snoop Dogg's cousin said.
After Jack's uncertainty regarding her familial relationship with Kim Kardashian's ex-boyfriend Ray J, Brandy made this Twitter commitment. All of it was for fun, but some fans actually said she's making a mountain out of molehill.
"I will murk this dude in rap at 43 on his own beats and then sing his a- to sleep," she teased the Kentucky-born star.
After an interview on Hot 97 in which he appeared entirely puzzled regarding the relationship between Ray J and Brandy, the only two children of Sonja and Willie Norwood, Jack was criticized on the internet. The hosts performed "Angels in Disguise" by Brandy, which was released in 1998, the same year Jack was born.
The hosts then provided hints, including one regarding Kim Kardashian and Ray J's sex tape, after the rapper mistakenly believed that the song was by Aaliyah.
"Who's Ray J's sister?" Jack then asked. After finally figuring it out, he explained he had "never been told" that information. He laughed at his own blunder, a bit ashamed.
