Slipknot has been hinting about new music over the past few months and it seems like fans are getting one anytime soon as the band started sharing cryptic videos all over social media.
According to Loudwire, the metal band shared a random post on their accounts and updated their official website.
The band shared a link on their post along with the caption "The beginning of the end."
Shawn Crahan, popularly known as Clown, can be heard speaking in the video, saying "This is Slipknot."
The short clip featured a series of images and videos of the band from their previous projects and performances.
"Death isn't gonna stop Slipknot, original members not being around isn't gonna stop Slipknot," Clown said in the middle of the video.
The outlet noted that the band teased fans with the new song they're working on over the last 12 seconds of the clip before frontman Corey Taylor shouted "Die!" over and over.
As of this writing, the band has not confirmed whether they're releasing a new album or song over the next few weeks.
Unfortunately, photos of their alleged upcoming album have leaked online along with its tracklist and album art.
The alleged tracklist is listed below:
- Adderall
- Dying Song
- The Chapeltown Rag
- Yen
- Hivemind
- Warranty
- Medicine For The Dead
- Acidic
- Heirloom
- H377
- De Sade
- Finale
The band has yet to address the leaked album issue online.
It's been three years since the metal band released their album "We Are Not Your Kind" and fans are still waiting for its follow-up.
The recent cryptic posts come a few months after frontman Corey Taylor gave a hint on the release date of their upcoming album.
While performing in Cincinnati, Ohio, last month, the singer said new music is coming "very f****** soon."
Slipknot is known for having lengthy breaks between their previously released albums as "All Hope Is Gone" and "The Gray Chapter" were released six years apart.
Speaking further about their new project, Taylor said last month that they still don't have an exact date on the album's release, but he confirmed that fans aren't going to wait any longer.
"I'm here to tell you, you're not going to be waiting very, very f****** long. I promise you, you will have new f****** Slipknot music very f****** soon," he added.
