The "Verzuz" stage might be getting lighted up again as rumors of an Usher and Chris Brown battle are hitting a new development.
Usher and Chris Brown have been ruling the R&B scene in the late 2000s as the two ruled over the charts hits after hits. However, the two have laid low until only recently.
While fans are raving to see an R&B "Verzuz," Usher might have some different plans instead.
Usher vs Chris Brown' Verzuz' Battle Finally Happening?
Earlier this week, the "DJ Got Us Falling in Love Again" hitmaker finally addressed the rumors of her potential "Verzuz" battle with R&B giants. (via HiphopDX)
Asked whether he's down to potentially participating in a "Verzuz" battle with Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, and or Trey Songz, Usher seemed to know the answer right on the top of his head.
"There was a flyer that was put together. It's not official, no, we're not doing that. But I can appreciate what I see. Nah, there's no Verzuz. I don't think y'all ready for nothing like that. You might be ready for something like that on stage, maybe in the future. Stay tuned," the singer told E! Daily Pop.
Breaking down Usher's statement, a Verzuz battle between him and the mentioned R&B titans might not be happening anytime soon. However, the 43-year-old crooner is not closing his doors.
Teasing a potential collaboration with the three, Usher pointed out that fans might not yet be ready for their huge R&B team-up.
This collaboration might potentially make more sense considering Chris Brown, who was more loudly pressed to have a "Verzuz" with Usher, almost had the same sentiment as him.
Chris Brown Ready For Usher' Verzuz' Battle, But With Reservations?
Speaking to Drink Champs weeks ago, Chris Brown was finally asked about his thoughts on going head to head with Usher on the "Verzuz" stage.
"It only makes sense, but it's got to make more sense. I can't act like he ain't a pioneer as well- that's Usher. I think it would be something good for the fans," the "Breezy" singer explained.
With Usher open to the possibility of a collaboration on stage, and Chris Brown wanting to give fan service, it looks like a stage, and an event is only what's missing, and they're ready to go.
