It appears that the "Stranger Things" fever won't die down anytime soon as numerous musicians have been releasing their own versions of songs featured in the renowned Netflix Series. Trivium's Matt Heafy is the latest artist to do so as he combined two of the fan-favorite tracks in one cover video.
According to Loudwire, YouTuber Anthony Vincent combined Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" and Metallica's "Master of Puppets" in one song and he got help from Heafy and another content creator Stevie T.
Vincent is popularly known for releasing song covers with a twist as he combines it with other popular songs. (watch the full cover video below)
The frontman started the video by playing guitar riffs in the style of Metallica before dueting with Vincent featuring their throaty rough vocals.
At first, the two artists are the only ones singing the unique rendition, but fans were shocked towards the end as Stevie T had a solo to conclude the cover.
Both songs were featured in the fourth season of "Stranger Things" and they became viral immediately after the show's release.
Aside from being loved by fans, both tracks also heavily contributed to the series' plot and storyline.
WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD
For the first volume of the latest season, the song was used in one significant scene where Max Mayfield, played by Sadie Sink, was about to be taken away by Vecna, played by Jamie Campbell Bower.
However, the demon creature's plans were halted after Max's friends played "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)" through her earphones.
Kate Bush has reacted to the show's success after its release, saying she loves the series and she's excited because the song has been charting worldwide.
She added that her song was "given a whole new lease of life by the young fans who love the show."
On the other hand, Metallica's "Master of Puppets" was used in the two-hour finale where Eddie Munson, played by Joseph Quinn, had an idea to distract the bats protecting Vecna's lair.
He did a solo guitar performance in the underworld and it became successful.
However, Eddie died in the end, but the creators of the series confirmed that his death would be pivotal in the upcoming season.
Metallica took to their Instagram account to express their gratitude, writing, "The way the Duffer Brothers have incorporated music into Stranger Things has always been next level, so we were beyond psyched from them to not only include 'Master of Puppets' in the show, but to have such a pivotal scene built around it."
