Attention, Blink-182 fans, the much-awaited comeback that everyone is looking forward to might not actually be coming true after all.
After rumors emerged in the past few days that Tom DeLonge would be returning to the band after a rare social media update, someone from the band has finally shed light on the issue.
The confirmation and rumors came about last week after current guitarist Matt Skiba expressed uncertainty about his involvement in the famous rock band.
Tom DeLonge Blink-182 Return Not Happening
Tom DeLonge, one of the founding members of the iconic rock band Blink-182, stirred up his fans in a rare Instagram update last week.
Speculations among the community arouse after DeLonge, in a very rare occurrence, updated his Instagram bio and included Blink-182, his estranged former band, into his list of musical credentials.
"I make music (@blink182 and @angelsandairwaves) and films (@tothestars.media), and at TTS I work alongside a few spies and a very important physicist," his Instagram biography says.
Media outlets like Kerrang! and Loudwire pointed out that this might be an indication of a Blink-182 reunion in the works.
To add more spice, Tom DeLonge posted an old photo of him, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker and tagged their band in the caption.
Fans, who are now more excited because of the more visible hints, have become more hopeful for a Blink-182 reunion with the estranged guitarist.

However, Rolling Stone reports that on Mark Hoppus' Discord channel, he broke the fan-upsetting news to his subscribers.
"There is no news to share. There is no announcement. Today is thirty years of blink-182!" Hoppus announced.
The Blink-182 bassist also reminded fans that all official announcements about the band would only come from his Discord channel or Blink-182's social media outlets.
A Blink-182 tour would also not be happening anytime soon according to Hoppus but promised fans that they will announce once schedules are booked and confirmed.
Matt Skiba Blink-182 Involvement Remains Unconfirmed
The rumors about Tom DeLonge's now-debunked return to Blink-182 were further fanned after current guitarist Matt Skiba expressed uncertainty about his membership in the band.
Weeks ago, a fan asked if he is still in the band as they were not seeing the page posts photo that includes him.
"your guess is as good as mine. Regardless, I am very proud of and thankful for my time w @blink182. We shall see..." Skiba replied.
Fleshing out Mark Hoppus' Discord statement, it seemed like Skiba is still in the mix as the band's official Instagram account still lists him in the biography.
However, the limited-edition Blink-182 Funko Pop commemorating the band's 30-year anniversary only includes Travis Barker, Mark Hoppus, and Tom DeLonge.
