An inquest heard today confirmed the cause of death of Jamal Edwards. Doubts as to whether the death was related to drug use or if there was foul play involved are addressed.

According to the conclusion made on the inquest, the music entrepreneur Jamal Edwards died of a cardiac attack following a late-night cocaine and alcohol binge during which he grew paranoid and began throwing objects around the room before passing out.

The hearing was informed that three little snap bags containing remains of white substance were discovered on the 31-year-old son of "Loose Women"panelist Brenda Edwards after he fell at his home in west London in February of this year.

Assistant West London Coroner Ivor Collett concluded today that Mr. Edwards' cardiac arrest was brought on by his use of cocaine and alcohol.

In a statement read during the inquest, his mother, Brenda, described him as "a beautiful and selfless person." She stated earlier this year that she hoped his passing would "promote more dialogue regarding the unpredictability of recreational drugs."

After playing a performance in north London, the DJ and founder of the online R&B/Hip-Hop platform SB.TV returned to his home in Acton around 4 a.m., where he drank with his friend Nick Hopper, who lived in the house's annexe.

Mr. Hopper stated that his renowned friend "appeared to be his typical self" and that they "began to speak, smoke some marijuana, and drink"; nevertheless, his famous friend suddenly discussed the pressure he was under.

The inquiry was informed that Mr. Edwards became erratic and paranoid and began tossing objects around the room before collapsing. Mr. Edwards did not regain consciousness despite the efforts of Mr. Hopper, his uncle Rodney Artman, and paramedics; he was pronounced dead at 10:36 a.m. on Sunday, February 20.

In a statement read to the inquiry by the coroner, Mr. Hopper stated, 'When he came in, he appeared to be himself and as if he had just been out.

Edwards reportedly told Hopper that he was under intense strain. There were intervals of conversation interspersed by silences.

Over time, Jamal according to Hopper, grew rather suspicious and began claiming he held objects when he did not. Whenever he moved, he would panic and not listen to Hopper's attempts to pacify him. Mr. Hopper stated that he repeatedly attempted to open a window, but Mr. Edwards wouldn't let him, and he eventually passed out near the bathroom door.

After 9.30 a.m., Mr. Edwards' uncle arrived and reported performing CPR for approximately 10 minutes until paramedics arrived, but they were unable to revive Jamal.

He had a cardiac attack due to his use of recreational substances and alcohol.

The general practitioner of Mr. Edwards confirmed that, although he exhibited symptoms of sickle cell disease, he was not on regular medication.
