Cordae just released a new freestyle, and fans couldn't help but notice that he was back to his fresh-faced look - after unveiling a wolverine-like beard at Lollapalooza last weekend and becoming viral for it. The new drop wowed many other artists - which is a testament of his talent, but his new shave was certainly a defensive move.

The overwhelmingly unfavorable reactions on social media certainly contributed to the Naomi Osaka breakup rumors, which TMZ subsequently refuted.

Throughout his performance, Cordae's beard began to fall out in fan-recorded video footage. At one time, he had only mutton chops, prompting one fan to question whether he was attempting to resemble a 19th-century person.
The fan wrote, "Why does Cordae seem like a civil war general?" The rapper even retweeted this comment.

Cordae responded last night with a new freestyle titled "Ego," but he couldn't resist commenting on an Instagram page's repost of his new flow, assuring everyone that the bullies wouldn't have the last laugh and that he'd be regrowing his hair in the following months.

The new music was praised by Pusha T, Anderson Paak, and Dre London, the manager of Post Malone. Cordae raps about the ills of the world, prerolls, and side girlfriends - another rapper's masterpiece.

Going back to his rumored split with Osaka, a source close to the couple already debunked the malicious tidbit. The insider verified to TMZ that they have not split up and have been spending more time together in recent weeks. Osaka and Cordae began publicly dating in 2019, and the rapper has since attended multiple tennis matches to show support for Osaka's career. Neither party has commented on the unfounded breakup reports.

Osaka, a 24-year-old former world No. 1 who won her second major at the 2021 Australian Open, has not played her best tennis since then, according to NY Post.

She withdrew from last year's French Open, skipped Wimbledon to focus on her mental health, and was defeated by Leylah Fernandez in the third round of the U.S. Open. She was frank about her mental health issues during the stretch.

This year, she was eliminated in the third round in Australia, in the first round in France, and at Wimbledon due to an Achilles injury. She also mentioned Wimbledon's refusal to award points to players after Russians were banned as a demotivating influence.
