Doja Cat recently stunned fans by going live on Instagram on Thursday to show off her newly shaven head.
But, before fans could respond to her new appearance, the "Need to Know" singer shaved her brows while live on Instagram.
The 26-year-old California native, whose true name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, stated that she had never loved her hair and couldn't recall ever being "cool" with it.
The internet, on the other hand, was perplexed as to why celebrities would disgrace themselves on social networking platforms.
Many people wondered what Doja Cat was thinking after seeing her with a shaved head and brows.
Why Did Doja Cat Shave Her Brows And Hair?
Doja Cat has been seen donning wigs throughout her career, but she has revealed why she carried out her most recent stunt.
"I feel like I was never supposed to have hair anyway. And, I don't like having hair. I never liked having hair."
She went on to claim that she would work out but couldn't focus because she was more worried with how she looked or how her hair looked and how it kept clinging to her scalp.
Finally, the singer-songwriter expressed her joy at finally shaving her head and asked why it took her so long.
Many people took to Twitter immediately after seeing Doja Cat showcase her new hairless style.
According to one fan, the "Kiss Me More" singer has never looked better with shorn hair and brows.
However, another individual observed that her new behavior seemed to be a "meltdown."
"She's suffering a mental collapse in front of the entire world. I know she's mentioned retiring, but you can't just walk away from a contract."
The same user speculated that Doja Cat was "lashing out."
"All celebrities go through a humiliation phase," a third person commented, while a fourth person compared the singer to Roger from "American Dad."
Doja Cat, however, is not the first lady to shave her head.
Britney Spears shaved hers more than a decade ago during a dramatic meltdown; Jada Pinkett-Smith has no hair due to alopecia; and Demi Lovato has also worn a bald head in the past.
One Twitter user noted how women who grow bald are met with harsh criticism.
"Society must investigate why there is a fixation with hair and the associated loss of both worth and sanity when she/they lose that attribute."
