Depeche Mode is still mourning the loss of their departed member Andy Fletcher but it won't stop them from creating music as they consider him an inspiration.
Taking to their official Instagram account, surviving members Dave Gahan and songwriter Martin Gore shared a picture of themselves working in a recording studio.
The two shared an emotional caption in the post, writing, "Finding stability in what we know and love, and focusing on what gives life meaning and purpose." (via NME)
After the photo was posted, many fans bombarded the comment section by expressing the emotions they felt upon seeing the image.
"Photo hits hard, not seeing Andy. You'll still have our support," one wrote.
"So very sorry for your loss. Does this message you left under the post mean you will continue as Depeche Mode? I hope so. You have brought so much joy to us for decades and would love to see you continue," another one wrote.
As of this writing, the band has not officially announced when they're going to release their upcoming project.
They also haven't confirmed if there are unreleased songs that included Fletcher's contributions.
Andy Fletcher Cause of Death
Depeche Mode shocked the world when they announced that Fletcher passed away. At the time, they didn't reveal his cause of death.
In a social media post, they described the late musician as someone who had a "true heart of gold" and was always supportive of everyone.
In addition, he was remembered as a person who knows how to start a lively conversation, and had a good laugh or a "cold pint."
A month after his death, Depeche mode finally revealed the manner of his death, saying they asked Fletchers family for permission to share the information to the world.
The keyboard player died due to an aortic dissection while at home with his family on May 26.
Even though they believed that the musician passed away soon, he passed away naturally and without prolonged suffering.
The week prior to sharing his cause of death, Depeche Mode said they celebrated his life in London, United Kingdom, where guests remembered Fletcher's life, great memories, and different stories.
"Andy was celebrated in a room full of many of his friends and family, our immediate DM family, and so many people who have touched Andy's and our lives," they wrote.
