Sir David Attenborough's upcoming documentary series, "Frozen Planet II," the follow-up to "Frozen Planet," will see an original song composed and performed by Hans Zimmer and Camila Cabello, respectively.
The Academy-award-winning composer tapped the pop star for "Take Me Back Home," the soundtrack of "Frozen Planet II."
The executive producer of "Frozen Planet II," Mark Brownlow, shared that the soundtrack "captures the fragility of these magical realms at a time when their very future hangs in the balance."
A Star-Studded Song
The "Don't Go Yet" singer expressed her excitement to work on the joint project, as it marks the first-ever song to be written in support of a BBC One natural history series.
"To be able to combine my passion for the planet we live on, and my music is a dream come true, never mind also getting to work with the legend that is Hans Zimmer,"
"I'm grateful to be able to lend my voice to such an inspiring series," the 25-year-old singer added.
Zimmer shared the honor of working on this significant project and noted that he enjoyed working with Cabello.
"It was hugely exciting composing, and recording 'Take Me Back Home' with Camila and discovering that her musical talents are as powerful as her voice.

True to Nature
Brownlow added that the project is a monumental and important part of the show, to which he added: "a celebration of wondrous wildlife overcoming the challenges of life in the extremes. Yet today it faces the even greater challenge of climate change."
"Frozen Planet" first premiered in 2011, with seven episodes, with footage from the Artic and Antarctic, hence the name "Frozen Planet." It is narrated by Attenborough, and the second season will be no different.
The critically-acclaimed documentary series scored 91 out of 100 in Metacritic, including four Emmy Awards in 2012, and three British Academy Television Craft Awards.
A little less than a decade later, the beloved documentary series is coming back with "Frozen Planet II."
The soundtrack will boast Cabello's vocals along with Zimmer's orchestration, while the trailer show wolves, killer whales, Siberian tigers, and more.
According to reports, "Take Me Back Home" is set to be released globally on BBC Radio 1's Breakfast with Greg James on Aug. 26.
