Megan Thee Stallion's new album, "Traumazine," finally debuted on the Billboard 200 charts, and it did not chart the way that fans had highly anticipated.
The female rapper's new music has been sought after for a long time since he released "Sweetest Pie" and her other chart-hitting tracks, but it seemed like the album did not live up to fans' expectations.
Debuting only at No. 4, this was so far his lowest opening week for her album.
Megan Thee Stallion 'Traumazine' Tanked, Netizens Say
Hits Daily Double has predicted that "Traumazine" is set to open at No. 4 on the Billboard Charts. True enough, the projections stayed true.
"Traumazine," Megan Thee Stallion's last album with 1501 Entertainment, was reported to have been delayed repeatedly by the label because of her current fiasco with the label.
According to Luminate, "Traumazine" only opened with 63,000 album-equivalent units at No. 4, three spots lower than Rod Wave's "Beautiful Mind," which also opened this week.
This marked Meg's fifth Top 10 album on the all-genre albums chart. Streaming equivalent units comprised 54,000 with 85.72 million on-demand streams on the entire 18 tracks. However, pure sales are only made up of 8,000, while Track-equivalent units are 1,000.
Critics gave the album generally positive reviews, with Rolling Stone, The Guardian, and NME giving it 4/5 stars.
Despite this feat, netizens were poking fun at the rapper for the album's poor performance on charts despite the huge anticipation.

"Who gives a sh*t? She tanked. Couldn't even sell 70k," another netizen took a jab.

Fans anticipated that Megan Thee Stallion's "Traumazine" would debut at no. 1 following her recent commercial success and awards received.
But the Billboard 200 charts indicate that she only opened to no. 4. Claiming the summit is R&B singer Rod Wave's new album, "Beautiful Mind." The record debuted in 115,000 album equivalent units.
Bad Bunny's "Un Verano Sin Ti" dipped to No. 2 with 108,000 equivalent album units after eight nonconsecutive weeks at the top.
"Rennaisance" by Beyonce holds the No. 3 spot with 64,000 while YoungBoy Never Broke Again's "The Last Slimeto" drops to No. 5.
