Tory Lanez is yet again making headlines for allegedly beating up singer August Alsina after the latter refused to shake his hand at a meeting in Chicago.

The Los Angeles Police District has intensified its investigation of the "serious" accusations thrown at the Candian-born rapper. Lanez is currently on trial for allegedly shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.

Did Tory Lanez Assaulted August Alsina?

According to Billboard, the LAPD is already carrying out an investigation against rapper Tory Lanez after reports that August Alsina was beaten up by the rapper.

Very recently, the Def Jam Recordings rapper posted a graphic photo of him in an elevator with blood falling down his mouth, seemingly beaten up. In the caption, he detailed that Tory Lanez was the one who did the damage.

In a video circulating on Twitter, Alsina was seen walking past Tory Lanez, who had his hand reaching out for a handshake. But to his surprise, he was ignored by the singer.

Moments after, in another shot from another location, Lanez was celebrating as people in the background say he "knocked him out."

Lanez denied the allegations on DJ Akademiks' podcast: "Nothing happened. I don't even know what this kid is talking about, brother," he claims.

However, Chicago Police Department confirmed to Billboard that a 30-year-old male was punched in the face by another man of the same age at the 2300 block of S. Lake Shore Drive. A simple google search would pinpoint the address to the Arie Crown Center, where Lanez and Alsina were guests at Rip Michaels' Fall Back in Love Comedy & Music Jam last Saturday. Chicago PD refused to name the two individuals.

As of this writing, Tory Lanez, or his lawyers, has not yet issued a comment on the ongoing investigation, aside from the rapper's denial to DJ Akademiks.

Currently, Tory Lanez is facing a much bigger legal headache with Megan Thee Stallion's trial. The hearing was further postponed because of Lanez's head counsel's unavailability due to scheduling conflicts.

Since his 2020 indictment, Lanez's bail had increased to $350,000 after violating the rules of his release twice - once on a surprise Rolling Loud Miami performance, and another when he posted on social media about Megan Thee Stallion, breaching court-sanctioned orders.
