After two long years of court battles, music producer Diplo won a court case against an ex-fling who accused him of grooming and distributing revenge porn.
According to reports, Diplo accused Shelly Auguste, the woman in question, of violating a dual restraining order both parties signed in January 2021.
After considering the arguments presented, the new ruling stated that the arbitrator recommended the Los Angeles Superior Court award the producer with more than $1.2 million in fees, damages, costs, and expenses.

The Back And Forth
In 2020, Auguste filed a restraining order against Diplo which was later dismissed. The restraining order entailed that the music producer ceases "distributing revenge porn designed to humiliate her and to scare other women out of coming forward."
Despite the failed attempt at a restraining order, she was granted a protective order. This prohibited Diplo from sharing images of Auguste, and was ordered to delete all previous photos.
In return, Diplo filed a restraining order against Auguste, who was represented by attorney Lisa Bloom. His restraining order noted that she was "a stalker [who] scammed her way into my life and tried to extort [him] for millions and then sued [him] when she didn't get what she wanted."
Following the restraining orders, the pair filed lawsuits against each other. The music producer accused Auguste of stalking, trespassing, and sharing unauthorized nude photos on social media.
According to TMZ, Auguste has been sending threats to Diplo and hounding his relatives.
On the other hand, Auguste alleged sexual battery and gender violence, all of which Diplo has denied. According to Pitchfork, the civil cases are currently unresolved.
Ruling
Diplo, born Thomas Wesley Pentz, and his team considers the ruling a win, "We are all extremely pleased for Wes and his family. What happened here is simple. The arbitrator looked at all the facts. She evaluated the evidence impartially. And justice prevailed," said Bryan Freedman to TMZ, Diplo's lawyer.
"Her fifteen minutes of fame are now over," they added.
The first time the 43-year-old music producer addressed the controversy was in October 2021. He posted his statement on Instagram, which read: "She was an obsessed fan of mine, and after I relinquished all contact with her, it appears that her only purpose in life has been to disrupt my work, my business, harass me, and my close friends and attack me and threaten my family."
He also clarified that Auguste was not a minor when they had a short-lived relationship.
