Harry Styles has been gracing fans with highly energetic performances throughout North America for his "Love On Tour" shows, but his recent concert led fans to call out other supporters for their behavior as the pop star had an onstage accident; what happened to him?
According to Fox News, the "As It Was" hitmaker recently performed at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. During a part of his show, he was seen interacting with fans by talking to them from the stage about the weather in the city.
However, he wasn't able to finish his story as he was hit by what appeared to be a bottle to his groin. Styles can be seen uncomfortable after the incident as he told his fans "well that's unfortunate" while leaning his head forward.
After the clip went viral on social media, online users immediately reacted to the behavior of the fan who threw the item on stage.
"Even at a concert people act like animals. Is there no place we can go without this kind of awful behavior?" one wrote.
"It might be time for musicians/bands to go virtual to keep themselves safe. Performing for your fans shouldn't mean taking physical hits, food thrown, etc." another one wrote.
Not the First Time Harry Styles Was Disrespected While Performing
The recent incident comes a few years after Styles performed at the annual "We Can Survive" gig at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California, where a fan groped him, which led to a Twitter movement called #ProtectHarry.
According to Mashable, many fans were outraged by the incident as they called out other supporters for behaving badly while the pop star performed on stage.
In the video, Styles was performing his hit song "Kiwi" when he got down on his knees in front of fans. A concertgoer then grabbed his crotch, causing him to push the hand away and move back.
The former One Direction member's fans are also known for throwing random stuff on stage during his performance.
In August, a concertgoer hilariously threw a chicken nugget during his show at Madison Square Garden in New York City and the singer immediately noticed it.
Styles called it a "very interesting, very interesting approach" before asking which fans threw the food.
When fans started chanting that he should eat it, the pop star politely declined as he doesn't eat chicken.
