As the news of Aaron Carter's death make rounds all over the internet, many details about his mental health struggles emerged as videos and photos of himself had been shared on different social media platforms.
Recently, footage of the late singer talking to his fans on Instagram live appeared that he was showing alarming behavior which made a lot of people concerned about his overall state.
According to Marca, the singer was in bad shape at the time he was interacting with fans virtually. Dressed casually in his house clothes, Aaron was wearing a hoodie and a white cap inside his car.
At first, the video appeared to be just a regular live stream as he began by greeting his fans and his mother with a Happy Halloween.
However, things became disturbing when he started singing a song that goes "Show me if you ever trusted him, my mom told me never to trust him." It was not confirmed whether he was intoxicated at the time.
Aaron then said a few sentences that were not coherent with each other.
The outlet also noted that the vehicle he was staying in on the video was the same car that authorities pulled over on Tuesday last week because of an alleged DUI.
Page Six reported that Aaron was driving his car carelessly, leading cops to pull him over. He was eventually cleared after passing the sobriety test.
Aaron Carter's Struggle With Addiction, Mental Health Problems
In 2017, the singer was arrested for driving under the influence. Authorities also found marijuana in his possession.
After getting released from police custody, he took his time to enter a rehabilitation center.
In a previous interview with Us Weekly Magazine, Aaron detailed his time in rehab, saying he was detoxing from substances. He also spoke to a psychiatrist and therapist that worked with him almost every day.
He then recalled his post-traumatic stress disorder which was caused by his parents' divorce.
"I'll say here right in front of all y'all, I'm not ashamed of it. I have issues. I have post traumatic stress disorder. I never wanted my parents to divorce," he said.
It also became hard on his part after his sister, Leslie Carter, died at the age of 27.
