Despite having a controversial past with BON JOVI, Richie Sambora declared he does not rule out the potential reunion he might have with the band.
In 2013, Sambora left BON JOVI due to his time with his daughter, Ava. He revealed the reason only years after he departed from the group.
Nearly a decade has passed since he stood on one stage with BON JOVI, the 63-year-old guitarist talked about his potential reunion at a scheduled UK festival next year.
During the red carpet event of The Music Industry Trust Awards at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Monday, Sambora told Metro about his renewed collaboration with his former bandmates in BON JOVI. This reunion will reportedly be part of the Glastonbury festival next year, where BON JOVI has been tapped to headline the performance.
He smiled as he said, "it's a possibility," since they started talking about it a bit.
His recent comment resonated with his interview two years ago, during which he told Germany's Rock Antenne (via Brave Words) that he was looking forward to returning as he was not counting it out.
"I was in a situation and it was not easy to make that decision to leave the band and the fans. I was in a dire situation with my family, and I had to make a tough decision and I did, and I'm sure people weren't happy about it. When people say I don't have my life together - are you kidding me? I'm the happiest dude on the block," he said.
Richie Sambora Went Through a Lot With BON JOVI
Last year, Sambora spoke to Nile Rodgers on Apple Music 1's "Deep Hidden Meaning Radio" and talked about the things he went through with the band members.
Still, he noted that part of his deal was to keep himself quiet while Jon Bon Jovi did all the singing and writing.

Although he left the band, he gave BON JOVI a massive contribution when he wrote the 1987 song, "Wanted Dead or Alive." For Sambora, the band needed a banner song to have longevity. The song then suddenly popped out while sitting in his mother's basement, and he immediately got the riff.
Sambora became part of BON JOVI in the 1980s when he replaced Dave Sabo. He appeared in 12 albums of the band from 1984 to 2013.
