Aaron Carter's final months were about the singer's desire to achieve this in his life.

Carter shocked the world when he died at the age of 34 on Saturday, November 5. He was reportedly working on several things, including a sitcom and an album, when he passed away.

Although he faced downs in his life, his friend and co-writer Dan Wright recently opened up about Carter's goal in the past months.

In an exclusive interview with Page Six, Wright revealed that Carter wanted his "life back" and that he planned to achieve it this year.

According to the 3D Friends musician, Carter suffered enough because a lot of people did not want to help him or work with him because of his past drug issues. Still, he was desperate to get back on track and stand under the spotlight again.

Unfortunately, it was hard for him to secure a deal because he did not want to leave his California home, where he was found dead.

"He was a homebody, and I think as a result, he just didn't have a lot of people that were willing to go to his house, stay with him, [and] help him write an album," he said.

Wright recalled the last time they talked, saying it was pure business plans. Although they did not speak about his personal life, Carter was said to be very open about his sobriety and he always used the term "Cali sober" all the time.

Aaron Carter's Tragic Death

Before his passing, Carter spoke publicly about his alcohol and drug addiction while struggling with mental health issues. In fact, he once thought he would not make it by 30 because of the negative things he went through.

Fortunately, he felt better when he welcomed his first son, Prince, with Melanie Martin in November 2021.

In September 2019, he revealed during his appearance on "The Doctors" that he was officially diagnosed with several mental health issues, including multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, acute anxiety, and manic depression.

He also got addicted to huffing compressed air, that cops found multiple cans of it in his bathroom and bedroom at the scene. They also got prescription pills inside his home.

As of press time, it has not been confirmed whether these issues contributed to his death.
