S Club 7's Jo O'Meara has posted a health update from hospital on Sunday after doctors discovered a blood clot while they were operating on her for back pain.

The 43-year-old singer had previously informed her Instagram fans she was experiencing the "worst pain ever" after being re-admitted to the hospital for a second procedure as a consequence of an MRI.

She has recently disclosed that physicians had to remove a potentially life-threatening blood clot and she spent eight days in the hospital, but happily the surgery was successful. Jo, who acknowledged she was unable to move as a result of her health problems, penned, "8 days in the hospital and still here!

Due to the extent of the injury, she said her physicians were not that surprised that she's unable to walk after the surgery. She explained that the experts also discovered a blood clot, which was removed thankfully!

She said she's recuperating well, despite having extremely low blood pressure. It was a massive health scare indeed.

The celebrity also thanked the NHS and for those who worried for her. Jo had emergency surgery on her back just last month to remove a disc and had to cancel engagements including Fife Pride as a result.

She disclosed that she was "devastated" and in "horrendous" pain following a procedure that did not go as planned. One month after 'urgent' surgery to remove a disc from her back failed, 'devastated' Jo disclosed that she was back in the hospital.

The singer posted a photo of herself on a drip at A&E at 4 a.m. with the caption that the pain was the worst it's ever been. Jo announced on October 25 that the initial surgery had not been successful. In an Instagram video posted from her bed, she stated she must undergo another surgery after a recent MRI and that she is currently in a "very awful place." The singer acknowledged that her injuries was negatively impacting her mental health, stating then that she's really in a bad place.

Will this condition affect reunion possibilities?

S Club 7 soared to stardom in 1999 with hits including Don't Stop Movin', Reach For The Stars, and Never Had A Dream Come True yet they dissolved in 2003. Rachel Stevens set the record straight on the reunion of the S Club 7 reunion in her new interview, claiming that she would 'One million percent' be on board almost 20 years after originally coming to popularity with the band. The 44-year-old former pop performer rose to prominence alongside bandmates Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O'Meara, Jon Lee, Paul Cattermole, and Tina Barrett.

Despite the fact that reuniting the group was a priority for the beauty, she admitted that it would be impossible to get all seven members together at once. Rachel expressed her opinions on a possible reunion in an interview with The Sun, stating that she would absolutely participate.

Tina Barrett sparked reunion rumors in 2020, suggesting that Rachel is not the only member interested in reuniting. Tina stated The Sun, in reference to the possibility of creating new music following the triumphant revival of Steps, "We absolutely want to produce something new together."
