Good news for Adam Lambert fans! The former "American Idol" contestant will be releasing a brand new album and it would be a compilation of cover songs; when is it going to be released?
Speaking to the British TV show "This Morning," the musician said he's excited to announce that he has a new project coming out titled, "High Drama," which will be an "album of covers."
Regarding the sound of his upcoming record, Lambert said he has a lot of "surprises" and the covered songs in the project may be known by most people but he did his best to "flip them around so they feel like something new and something that you haven't heard before."
As of this writing, the singer didn't reveal the official tracklist and release date of his record, but he noted that pre-orders will begin on December 13.
Adam Lambert Reveals Future With Queen
Just after posting the clip of his announcement, many fans were surprised to see Adam Lambert reunited with his "favorite British gents" Brian May and Roger Taylor.
In the same interview, he revealed his future with the legendary band, Queen as they have been collaborating for more than a decade now, saying he's looking forward to creating another tour with them in the United States.
"It's not confirmed, but we're flirting with the idea now," he noted. (via Wilmar Radio)
Just a few weeks ago, the band's guitarist spoke to Variety, revealing that there's a possibility that the act Queen + Adam Lambert will be going on tour again in the future.
It appears that it would be their last tour together as May discussed that he's not getting younger and leaving home for months is not easy for him.
"We feel as like if we're all fit and well, that we'd like to go out there one more time. It would probably be in the United States in 2023 at some point," he revealed. (via Ultimate Classic Rock)
Although the band and Lambert have been collaborating on tour since 2011, many fans are still confused why they haven't written a song together.
When asked about the possibility of them teaming up for a record, May said they all brought the subject up whenever they spend time with one another, but the "live show" is consuming them always that's why they don't have the time to discuss it thoroughly.
