Sad news for fans of The Sidekicks. The Ohio-based band has just announced its disbandment and many supporters aren't happy with the recent news.
Taking to their official Instagram account, current members— Toby Reif, Steve Ciolek, Matt Climer, and Ryan Starinsky— shared a joint statement to confirm the split.
It appears that the group had broken up a long time ago as many people have been asking them, leading the band to "let everyone know that we have called it a day."
The Sidekicks then proceeded to express their gratitude to fans for their efforts and support throughout the years.
"We are equally grateful to all those who have helped us along the way and to those who we met through our travels and time in this group," they added.
Their recent post is a "thank you" to many fans and they hope many of them had fun listening to their music during the prime years of their careers.
Since the band has decided to not continue performing again, remaining merchandise like t-shirts and sweaters are currently available on their Big Cartel page.
For their future projects, the group told fans that they should watch out for "Nothin', Superviolet, Hunden, starboy_devoid, Mukiss and Orbits."
As of this writing, The Sidekicks have not publicly revealed the actual reason why they disbanded.
