Good news for Slipknot fans! It appears that the highly-anticipated side-project from the heavy metal band will be released anytime soon as Shawn Crahan, popularly known for his moniker Clown, revealed more information about their shelved music.
According to Metal Sucks, the project titled "Look Outside Your Window" has been in the shelf for over 15 years now and the yet-to-be-released music is a collaboration between members Clown, Corey Taylor, Jim Root, and DJ Dam Wilson.
It was supposed to drop on Christmas Day of 2019, but many fans were disappointed after the band decided not to push through.
Years later, fans are finally getting an update regarding the long-shelved music as Shawn Crahan recently spoke to Upset Magazine to discuss the matter and explain what happened, saying the project would be released as soon as they're free from Roadrunner Records and their contracts.
He told the outlet that he and his bandmates don't want the project to be "a little irritation" to them because it's "beautiful God art and people deserve it."
Although he didn't reveal an exact release date, he noted that Slipknot will be free from their contractual obligations this coming April Fool's Day.

"There are no plans to immediately release something, and we haven't talked about it, but I would imagine it'll probably come very soon afterwards. There's nothing else to do, and it's ready to go. It'll be worth the wait," he added.
Slipknot's 'Look Outside Your Window' Origin
Per the outlet, the project began when the band was recording their album "All Hope Is Gone." It was considered a side-project that sounds very different from their heavy metal genre.
The unreleased album is said to be very similar to Radiohead's music.
In a previous interview with Loudwire, frontman Corey Taylor said there's "no real way" to describe the album, but he noted that it's "experimental" but "super vibey" and sounds "super melodic."
He warned Slipknot fans that it doesn't sound like anything that they had put out in the past because "it's much more of a rock vibe."
At the time, Taylor explained that there were tensions within the group surrounding the recording of 2008's "All Hope Is Gone," that's why the album was taking too long to be released.
