SZA's latest album "SOS" has been riding high for five consecutive weeks as it remains undefeated on the Billboard 200 chart's top spot and she even beat out two of the most successful music acts in the R&B industry; who could they be?

According to Billboard, the musician's sophomore album earned a whopping 125,000 equivalent album units in the United States.

Only four albums released in 2022 have amassed this kind of record; spending at least five weeks on the top spot. These records were Taylor Swift's smash album "Midnights," "Un Verano Sin Ti" by Bad Bunny, and Encanto's official soundtrack.

It appears that SZA has dethroned the self-appointed Queen of Christmas Mariah Carey as she was the last R&B artist to have an album that achieved such a record ("Daydream" from October 1995 to January 1996).

Regarding the previous R&B album by an all-female act, TLC was the first record holder with their album "FanMail" as it spent five nonconsecutive weeks from March to May 1999.

SZA to Release 'SOS' Deluxe Version Soon?

Many fans still couldn't believe that the R&B star's recent album has 23 songs in it, but only three music acts were featured as collaborators like Phoebe Bridgers, Ol' Dirty Bastard, and Travis Scott.

However, after revealing that she wrote over a hundred songs for the album, many are expecting SZA to release more songs under the "deluxe version."

In an interview with Most Requested Live, the musician said there are still songs that never made it to the standard release.

"Sometimes it's 10 songs that didn't make the cut, so we'll see. I'm going to throw them all out there because ... No one can say I didn't give the music. So when I disappear for another five years, there will be more," she added.

Fans expect many collaborators in the upcoming deluxe versions and SZA has already confirmed that Boy From South Detroit and PSA would be one of them.

For the standard version, many artists like Doja Cat, Frank Ocean, and Harry Styles, were reportedly invited to collaborate, but the project didn't happen.

In Doja Cat's case, the rapper was supposed to be on the hit song "Shirt" but the musician revealed in an interview with Hot97 that the collaboration was canceled as the "Kiss Me More" songstress had to undergo a vocal cord surgery.
