A video from Lisa Marie Presley's final interview has since gone viral following her death.
On Twitter, ExtraTV shared a now-viral clip of its entertainment reporter, Bill Bush, interviewing Presley at the Golden Globes red carpet event. It happened two days before she was rushed to the hospital.
"Lisa Marie Presley was rushed to the hospital on Thursday after reportedly suffering cardiac arrest. Just two days ago, she appeared a bit unsteady on the red carpet at the #GoldenGlobes," the caption reads.
Fans of Elvis Presley's daughter noticed how she appeared wobbly on her feet as she tried to speak with the interviewer. The video also caught her turning to Jerry Schilling, her talent manager, and telling him she would grab his arm.
Sky News Australia also noted that she was slurring her words while holding Schilling by her side.
It remains unknown why the late singer-songwriter had those "signs" and whether they were connected to her death.
During the same interview, Presley offered her final public words to Austin Butler, who won Best Actor - Motion Picture - Drama for his performance in Baz Lurhmann's "Elvis."
"Absolutely. Even the throat, he'd make these noises sometimes, and he got all of it. He absolutely nailed it," she said.
Apart from her final interview, Presley also shared her last Instagram post days before her death. She shared a screenshot of an article by People about her and her son, Benjamin. The matriarch penned an essay to mark National Grief Awareness Day.
Lisa Marie Presley Devastated After Son's Death
In the years leading to her death, Presley had to endure the pain after losing her son, Benjamin, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in 2020. He was only 27 at the time of his passing.
Musician Brandon Howard told People that Benjamin struggled with depression which was worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic. He noted that Benjamin felt extreme pressure to live up to the Presley family name, saying it contributed to what he felt.
According to Howard, Benjamin made sure he was there for his friends who needed help despite his own personal battle.
After Benjamin's death, Presley admitted that she blamed herself every single day for her son's death. This led people to assume that her cardiac arrest might have been triggered by Broken Heart Syndrome.
However, this is yet to be confirmed as the examiner's office cannot release the official cause of death as it still waits for the toxicology test results.
